Chai Chet Resort is located at the tongue of land Chai Chet. To get straight to the point: We have given Chai Chet Resort top grades because its price-performance ratio is really excellent. Chai Chet is no 5-star resort; however, its offers are unique at its prices. We would rate Chai Chet as a 3- to 4-star hotel / resort on a world scale. Imbedded between hills, it lies directly on the tongue of land Chai Chet which reaches far into the sea. There, there are the bungalows and rooms right next to the stony beach. The hill by which the resort is located also has rooms and bungalows. However, these are well hidden beneath the trees. All rooms and bungalows are equipped with warm water, air con, TV, and safe. Here, too, nature has been preserved, so that the guests get a first-hand jungle experience. Each locality - seaside or hill - has its own charm.

The resort boasts its own jungle path leading around the hill, and from which you can enjoy marvelous views to the sea. Since about two years ago the resort has had a great pool, one of Koh Chang's most beautiful ones. The sandy beach can be reached in hardly over 3 minutes by foot and spans several kilometers. This beach (Klong Phrao), too, is one of the most popular on Koh Chang. If you are seeking quiet and recreation, determined to leave the bustle behind, love nature and enjoy the sea and the jungle, you should consider this resort.

Chai Chet Resort's kitchen offers great European food, but its Thai cuisine, too, leaves nothing to be desired. It stands to reason that guests from neighboring resorts go there to eat as well. The service is excellent, corresponding more to a 5-star hotel as the personnel is very friendly.

The cleanliness at Chai Chet is remarkable, from the restaurant to the kitchen, to the rooms; even the public restrooms are always kept squeaky-clean. The personnel is utmost friendly and helpful. The guest is supposed to feel great. Here, he or she does indeed. Even though the resort is quite large, the manager himself watches over each and everything, and the management is probably the reason that Chai Chet has a special personal note.

Guests with children need not worry, and although a playground may be missed, the wonderful pool with children's section makes up for it. A playground would make everything perfect, though. Now, here again the price-efficiency: The 1,800 THB (standard rooms) during high season and Villas for 2'000 THB can hardly be topped by any competitor. If you consider the sheer quality, Chai Chet Resort has a good edge over the others.

Chai Chet Resort provide you now also with the brand new "Grand Villa" bungalows directly on the beach. These bungalows are ranged  clearly in the very upper quality class. The phantastic decoration will impress you of sure!! Right now, Chai Chet Resort provide you with a special promotion of these great bungalows. Instead the normal price of 3'800 THB per night it's now just 3'400 THB per night incl. breakfast !!

Coconut Beach Resort lies on Klong Phrao Beach, right next to Chai Chet Resort. Around the hotel / resort there are numerous restaurants and shopping facilities. There is a bank just around the corner, next to a bigger supermarket that offers most everything. The nearest pharmacy is a mere 2 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel gives a very well-maintained impression. The sandy beach which is connected to the facility is exceptionally gorgeous. Restaurant and pool are facing the sea, which gives you a wonderful view of the sea. Having dinner in a romantic atmosphere right next to the sea is especially nice. The menu is rich with Thai as well as European dishes. The prices are astonishingly low considering the top service and the food quality. The personnel is very attentive and friendly.

Without exception, the rooms are very clean and in top condition. The 2,180 THB rooms are located in a wing surrounded by tropical garden. Their interior is generous, with a Bali flair to it.

The standard bungalows at 1,800 THB are built next to each other near the garden.

The 2'580 THB rooms are elevated, have a balcony with view of the sea or the beautiful garden.

The superior bungalows for 3.380 THB, right next to the beach or set off with view of the beach are gorgeous. Apart from their generous interior they have a large terrace that invites you to a sunbath or lets you watch the setting sun while sipping a cocktail. What's more, these bungalows have a large bathroom with tub. The sleeping room is very big, with seating furniture. As a guest of Coconut Beach Resort, you feel incredibly well and spoiled!! We haven't see a better offer at that price on Koh Chang.

The management and the employees are very friendly. One can feel the good guidance of the personnel behind everything. There, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay.

Unfortunately, a children's playground is lacking here, too, but the huge garden with the pool and children's pool and the big sandy beach make up for that.

We can heartily recommend this hotel / resort; it figures allmost on the very top of our list, just like its price-performance ratio.

The Mam Kai Bae Resort is a low price hotel with high comfort and located on the very south of the "Kai Bae" beach, just before the road climb up to the hill and vew point. Everybody on the island knows the resort "Mam-Kai-Bae" as the resort have a great repuation about special cheap prices for high quality accommodation by all Koh Chang hotels.........

This resort is located in the vicinity of Klong Prao beach, although not directly by the sea. It is adjacent to the part of the village Chai Chet that lies of the foot of the mountains and the beach is a 10-15 minutes to walk away. The rooms can be noted for their cleanness, and the whole facility is well maintained. It is rear part is quite a large pool. We added the resort to our list because the prices are really attractive and compentitive when comparing the food (Thai as well as European cuisine) and the cozy furnishings. If you can put up with the 10-15 minutes walk to the beach, you can't go wrong with this resort. You can find banks, restaurants and a supermarket in the surroundings, as well as several motorbike rentals. This resort has our recommendation because it's reasonably priced but still offersan upscale standard.
